Thrissur: Swift action prevented a potential disaster when a vehicle transporting cooking gas cylinders caught fire in Manali, Madavakkara, Thrissur. The fire originated in the driver’s cabin of a tempo goods vehicle belonging to Vishnu Gas Agencies in Pudukad.
The incident occurred immediately after the vehicle was set in motion, leading to a rapid outbreak of flames. Local residents and workers acted promptly, successfully bringing the fire under control. Swift response of those on the scene prevented the fire from spreading to the approximately 40 domestic cooking gas cylinders stored in the vehicle. The cause of the fire was determined to be a short circuit.
