Idukki: The Kerala government has left citizens dissatisfied, with their grievances remaining unresolved even after six weeks of concluding the NavaKerala Sadas program. Out of a total of 42,236 complaints filed by citizens, only 8,679 have been addressed. The concerns raised by the public primarily revolve around issues related to Pattayam (assigned land), medical assistance, and house construction.
The highest number of complaints, totaling 15,570, were received by the Revenue Department. However, only 400 of those have been resolved so far. The Local Self-Government Department received 11,501 complaints and has only addressed 5,548 of them, leaving a substantial number still pending. The Co-operative Department received 2,203 complaints, and from those, only 1,009 complaints have been resolved.
A significant portion of the applications submitted pertain to inclusion in the Life Mission scheme, and unfortunately, a considerable number of these applications remain pending. The delay in addressing these issues has led to people losing hope in a resolution.
