Thiruvananthapuram: A complaint has been lodged against Harris, the secretary of Swapnakoodu Charitable Society, accusing him of collecting funds under the pretext of charity work. The complaint alleges that a trust was formed in the name of employees without their knowledge.
The case, filed against Harris, claims that he was raising funds in Kozhikode district on behalf of an organisation named Swapnakoodu, which operates in Thiruvananthapuram. The money collection activities took place in Koothali, Kozhikode.
Additionally, Harris started another trust called ‘Snehatheeram Kootaiyma’ in Koothali, appointing Sreeja from Nanminda as the secretary. However, Sreeja informed the police that she was unaware of this and accused Harris and his wife, Sameera, of registering the trust using her forged signature. And then, a case was registered against Harris and Sameera for document forgery.
Simultaneously, Sreeja has filed a complaint with the Collector, urging the cancellation of the registration of Snehatheeram Charitable Trust. In response, Harris contends that Sreeja is aligned with them and claimed to have assisted in starting the trust at her request.
