Kottayam: In a targeted effort to curb the usage and sale of intoxicants, Operation D-Hunt in Kottayam district has led to the arrest of 15 individuals. The operation resulted in the confiscation of ganja and ganja bidis from the apprehended individuals, prompting the registration of 15 separate cases following the investigation.
In addition to these arrests, about 30 individuals, previously detained and released in connection with drug-related cases, were taken into custody as a precautionary measure. The operation, spearheaded by Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySP) and Station House Officers (SHOs) of the district, took place on Saturday between 7 am and 12 pm.
