Thiruvananthapuram: Gold prices in the state experienced an upward trend today, with an increase of Rs 80 per sovereign. The current market rate for one sovereign of gold stands at Rs 46,240. This follows a pattern of fluctuating prices since January 20, where gold rates have experienced both rises and falls. On Saturday, gold prices observed a decline of Rs 80.
The market rate for one gram of 22-carat gold has risen by Rs 10 today, reaching Rs 5,780. The rate for 18-carat gold stands at Rs 4,780 per gram.
Silver prices have also witnessed an increase, with standard silver rising by Rs 1 to reach Rs 78 per gram. The market price for hallmark silver stands at Rs 103 per gram.
