Thiruvananthapuram: In a departure from the usual practice of dismantling film sets, the makers of film “Anbodu Kanmani” have taken a distinctive approach that reflects kindness. The film’s shooting, which happened in Thalassery, featured a house in a dilapidated condition chosen for filming. Instead of demolishing the set after the completion of the shoot, the crew decided to renovate and gift the house to the family.
Suresh Gopi, a former MP and actor, handed over the key of the renovated house to the family. He explained that when we asked to use the house for the filming , the owners kindly agreed. Even though we made many changes in the house for the film, the crew decided not to take down the set. Instead, they chose to fix up the house and give it to the family.
Directed by debutant Liju Thomas, “Anbodu Kanmani” features Arjun Ashokan in the lead role. The film also stars Anagha Narayanan, Johny Antony, Altaf, Unniraja, Nawaz Vallikun, Mala Parvathy, and director Mridul Nair.
