Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning predicting a significant rise in temperatures across four districts over the next two days. According to the latest update issued at 1 pm today, Kannur district is expected to experience temperatures reaching 38 degrees Celsius, while Kottayam district may see temperatures soaring to 37 degrees Celsius. Additionally, Alappuzha and Kozhikode districts are forecasted to have temperatures reaching 36 degrees Celsius.
As the temperature climbs, here are some precautions to keep in mind:
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight between 11 am to 3 pm.
- Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fresh water, even if not feeling thirsty.
- Refrain from consuming dehydrating drinks like alcohol, coffee, tea, and carbonated soft drinks.
