Thiruvananthapuram: Serious security breach occurred in the Emergency Department of Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. According to reports, a young man arrived at the hospital with an airgun, causing prolonged panic. Identified as Sathish Sawan, a resident of Kallambalam, he entered the hospital around 4 pm yesterday under the guise of visiting a friend.
Upon seeing the gun in the young man’s hand, patients and attendants panicked. Hospital security personnel arrived and handed him over to the police. However, he attacked the police and managed to escape. Hospital occupants assert that there has been a serious failure on the part of the hospital’s security staff.
