Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a high temperature warning for six districts in the state. Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Thrissur, Palakkad, and Kozhikode are expected to experience a rise in temperature. The IMD forecasts a significant increase in temperatures over the next two days, with levels likely to rise by 2 to 3 degrees above the current readings.
According to the IMD, temperatures could soar to 37 degrees Celsius in Kollam district and 36 degrees Celsius in Alappuzha, Thrissur, Kozhikode, and Palakkad districts. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has also issued warnings, advising residents to avoid direct sunlight between 11 am to 3 pm and to stay hydrated by consuming plenty of clean water.
