Thiruvananthapuram: As SSLC, Higher Secondary, and Vocational Higher Secondary examinations draw near, the Department of Public Education has launched a toll-free telephone helpline named ‘We-Help.’ The initiative aims to alleviate the stress and challenges faced by students during exam periods and provide essential support to both students and parents.
The ‘We-Help’ service commenced yesterday, offering counseling assistance to students and parents from 7 am to 7 pm via phone. Trained Souhruda Club coordinators from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) in Bengaluru conduct the counseling sessions. Children and parents can reach out for support by dialing the toll-free number 1800 425 2844. The helpline will operate on all working days until the conclusion of the exams.
In addition to the telephonic counseling service, counseling centers have been established in all higher secondary schools under the guidance of Souhruda Club coordinators. This comprehensive support system aims to ensure that students receive the guidance and assistance they need to navigate the challenges of exam preparation with confidence and ease.
