Kochi: The High Court has ruled against cancelling actor Dileep’s bail in the actress assault case. The decision comes after the government’s appeal to revoke the bail was settled by the court.
The prosecution had initially sought the cancellation of Dileep’s bail in 2017, following the trial court’s dismissal of their petition. Their argument centered around concerns that Dileep’s alleged influence on key witnesses could compromise the trial proceedings. However, with the completion of the witnesses’ testimony, the High Court has now resolved the matter, opting not to revoke the bail.
