Thiruvananthapuram: The Rajya Rani Express train has extended its service for passengers, now reaching Nagercovil. Passengers are informed that they can travel up to Thiruvananthapuram Central railway station even if their ticket is designated for Kochuveli.
This extension of service was agreed upon to facilitate those traveling to Thiruvananthapuram Regional Cancer Centre (RCC). The Rajya Rani Express departing from Nilambur will serve as a connecting train to Thiruvananthapuram Central after arriving at Kochuveli.
It is also reported that from Kochuveli to Thiruvananthapuram Central to Nagercovil, the Rajya Rani Express will operate as an unreserved train. Similarly, passengers can travel from Nagercovil via Thiruvananthapuram Central to Kochuveli, and from there to Nilambur.
The train timings from Kochuveli to Nilambur have been changed.
According to the new schedule, the Rajya Rani Express from Nilambur to Kochuveli to Thiruvananthapuram Central to Nagercovil will arrive at Kochuveli at 5:30 am. At 6:30 am, the train will depart from Kochuveli to Nagercovil via Thiruvananthapuram Central, reaching Thiruvananthapuram Central at 6:45 am and Nagercovil at 8:55 am.
At 6:20 pm, the train will depart from Nagercovil to Nilambur, reaching Thiruvananthapuram Central at 7:55 pm. It is scheduled to arrive Kochuveli at 8:20 pm and depart from there for Nilambur at 9 pm.
