Thiruvananthapuram: The gold price experienced a surge today as it soared to unprecedented levels. With a rise of Rs 120, the cost of gold reached its highest rate in history of Kerala. Presently, one sovereign of gold is valued at Rs 48,200, marking an increase of Rs 2120 over the last week.
In today’s trading, 22-carat gold experienced an increase of Rs 15, reaching Rs 6,025 per gram. The price of 18-carat gold now stands at Rs 5,000 per gram.
Meanwhile, the price of silver remains stable, with ordinary silver priced at Rs 79 per gram and Hallmark silver at Rs 103 per gram.
