Thrissur: Opposition parties have launched attacks on actor and BJP’s Thrissur candidate Suresh Gopi. Campaign boards bearing Suresh Gopi’s name and photo were destroyed. The incident occurred last night at Panamukku, Thrissur.

The BJP has alleged the involvement of the CPI (M) in the destruction of the campaign boards. The BJP said that such vile acts were carried out due to Suresh Gopi’s popularity, as the opposition is afraid of losing to other candidates. The incident occurred before Suresh Gopi had darshan at the Punkunnam Shiva Temple.

Similar incidents occurred the other day during Suresh Gopi’s roadshow in Irinjalakuda. Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) streetlights were reportedly turned off, prompting activists to protest by illuminating the scene with the flashlights on their mobile phones.
