Thiruvananthapuram: CPO rank-holders have strongly contested the Chief Minister’s assertion that all currently available vacancies for the post of Police Constable have been reported to the Public Service Commission (PSC). The candidates expressed skepticism, alleging that someone had misled the Chief Minister.
According to the candidates, about 5,038 vacancies for the Civil Police Officer post have been filled, contrary to the claim. However, these vacancies have not yet appeared on the PSC’s official website. The rank-holders emphasized that only 3,326 vacancies have been officially received thus far.
As the protest enters its 32nd day, allegations have surfaced accusing the government of disregarding the demands of the candidates. Such misinformation and false propaganda are further exacerbating tensions between the rank-holders and government.
