Thrissur: The counting of money in the Hundi at Guruvayur Temple for the month of March has been completed. More than five crore rupees were received from the hundi this month, totaling Rs 5,21,68,713. Additionally, temple officials reported receiving 2 kg 526 g 200 mg of gold and 18 kg 380 g of silver as offerings to Lord Guruvayurappan. Furthermore, Rs 7.22 lakh were received as e-treasury income in addition to regular treasury income.
Officials informed that banned currency notes were also received during the counting, amounting to a total of 141 banned notes. Of these, 47 notes were of Rs 2,000 denomination, 18 notes were of Rs 1,000 denomination, and 76 notes were of Rs 500 denomination. The CSB Guruvayur branch was responsible for the counting this time.
