Palakkad: The wild elephant, named Chilli Komban, has entered the Nelliyampathy residential area again. The wild elephant came near AVT Estate.
According to locals, Chilli Komban has been venturing into the inhabited area for the last 10 days. Despite efforts by forest department officials to relocate the wild elephant back to the forest yesterday evening, the wild elephant returned to the residential area by nightfall.
Chilli Komban has also ventured into populated areas earlier. So far, the wild elephant has not attacked locals or caused trouble. Chilli Komban usually enters the inhabited area in the months of March and April. However, locals say that the wild elephant have been frequenting the area recently.
