Thrissur:  Actor Suresh Gopi said that the state government should prepare to control the wild elephants that threaten the lives of the people in the hilly areas. Suresh Gopi stated that in the forest, even the needs of wild elephants were taken away. He urged the government to consider and decide on the matter of converting wild elephants into tamed ones. He was talking to media persons in Thrissur.

Meanwhile. Suresh Gopi emphasized the importance of public awareness regarding national highway development. He suggested that authorities should inform the public about the cost and interest associated with road and bridge construction by placing a board at every toll gate. Referring to a previous statement made at ‘SG Coffee Time,’ where he mentioned that it costs Rs100 crore to build one kilometer of road in Kerala, Suresh Gopi noted that some people doubted this figure, claiming it to be only Rs 30 crore. He cited Nitin Gadkari, the Minister responsible for the Transport Department, who confirmed the cost to be Rs 100 crore. The Kerala government had stated it would cover 20-25 percent of the expenses. However, the Chief Minister had written a letter stating the state’s financial inability to do so.

Suresh Gopi stated that the election campaigning in Thrissur was progressing well. He expressed his belief that the people would elect him from Thrissur this time.
