Registration for SET exam begins today, candidates can apply till April 15

Thiruvananthapuram: Registration for the State Eligibility Test (SET) for Higher Secondary and Non-Vocational Higher Secondary teacher recruitment has commenced in Kerala. Interested candidates can submit their applications from today until April 15.

Applicants can access the SET July 2024 prospectus and syllabus on the official website of the LBS Centre for Science and Technology at www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in.

Eligibility criteria mandate that candidates must have obtained not less than 50% marks or an equivalent grade in their Post Graduate Examination, with a B.Ed., Bachelor of Education, or degree being the basic qualification. However, a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) qualification is not required for certain specific subjects.

The examination fee is set at Rs 1,000 for General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories, while candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) categories are required to pay Rs 500 as the application fee. All fees are to be paid online.

Applicants are required to register online via the LBS Centre website. Online registration must be completed before 5 p.m. on April 15. For further details and inquiries, applicants are encouraged to visit www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in.
