Kabul: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Tuesday confirmed that Afghan pecial Forces have killed six members of Al-Qaeda terror group and 17 Taliban terrorists in an operation executed in Musa Qala district in Helmand province.
The NDS claimed that the “Al-Qaeda members killed in the operation were from Pakistan.”
The operation was conducted after just three days of polling where millions of Afghans went to vote for their next president despite hundreds of Taliban bombings and small-scale attacks at polling stations.
