Baghdad: According to reports, a Katyusha rocket on Thursday hit a military base in Iraq’s northern province of Kirkuk.
Xinhua reported that the attack on the military base housing US troops took place in the evening. No casualties reported after the rocket hit K1 military base in Kirkurk.
The USA has blamed Kataeb Hezbollah, a hardline Iraqi military faction close to Iran for the rocket attacks on the base.
Five projectiles had landed near a US Air Force base in Iraq, earlier this month.
