Lahore: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) put a heavy blow on former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif after they raided his family’s businesses. The raid was conducted on Saturday in search of evidence pertaining to cases involving money laundering and benami accounts.
The search warrant issued by Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Amir Raza Baitu, granted permission to NAB granting permission to search 55-K, Model Town, Lahore and 91-F, Model Town, Lahore, as well as any other offices of the companies owned by the accused in the case, reported Dawn News.
NAB sources said that officials confiscated computers and laptops during the raid. Also recovered important documents from the office of the chief financial officer of the Sharif Group of Industries.
