London: In a first lawmakers of the country, United Kingdom Health Minister Nadine Dorries has been confirmed positive with coronavirus on Tuesday.
In a statement, Dorries said that she has been tested positive and took all the advised precautions and have been self isolating at home.
“I can confirm I have tested positive for Coronavirus,” she said.
“As soon as I was informed I took all the advised precautions and have been self isolating at home,” she added.
A total of 380 cases have been confirmed in the UK and six fatalities.
Dorries, the MP for Mid Bedfordshire, said in a statement that Public Health England had started tracing people she had had contact with, and the department and her parliamentary office were closely following its advice, reported BBC.
