Kabul: Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on Tuesday signed decree that would ease the release of the Taliban prisoners.
Ghani’s spokesperson Sediq Sediqqi tweeted, “President Ghani has signed the decree that would facilitate the release of the Taliban prisoners in accordance with an accepted framework for the start of negotiation between the Taliban and the Afghan government. Details of the decree will be shared tomorrow.”

On February 29, the United States and the Taliban had signed peace deal in Qatar. The US has also begun withdrawing troops from Afghanistan.
