Police produced Imran Khan before Supreme Court of Pakistan after the top court issued a directive to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to produce ex-PM Imran Khan at court within one hour. He was brought to the court under tight security.
The Supreme Court took up the petition of Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) party challenging the arrest of Imran Khan, as the judicial chaos in the country continues to grow.
The arrest of Imran Khan had set off violent protests in the country. The SC condemned the NAB in how they arrested Imran Khan and said that they have disrespected the court.
Former Prime Minister was arrested two days ago on account of Al-Qadir trust case and was reportedly dragged out of Islamabad High Court. Protests are being raged in the country for two days, with mobs blocking roads, setting banners on fire and stone pelting on houses, vehicles and offices.
