Harare: Billionaire and industrialist Harpal Randhawa and his son lost their lives in a plane crash in Zimbabwe the other day. Reports indicate that the six individuals accompanying them also perished in the accident. Their private plane crashed in the southwestern region of Zimbabwe due to technical problems.
Harpal Randhawa is the owner of RioZim, a mining company that produces gold and coal and refines nickel and copper. In addition to this, he also has billions of dollars invested in other companies.
Harpal Randhawa and his son were traveling in a privately owned Cessna aircraft belonging to RioZim. They were enroute from Harare to the Murowa diamond mine when the accident occurred. It has been reported that all those on board perished in the accident.
