Damascus: A drone attack targeted a military college graduation ceremony in Syria, resulting in a shocking loss of around 100 lives. The incident occurred at a military college located in Syria’s Homs province. It’s worth noting that this follows a previous attack on the same military college.
The Health Minister has informed that the injured individuals are in critical condition, and unfortunately, the death toll is expected to increase. As of now, no group or individual has come forward to claim responsibility for the attack.
Drones loaded with explosives approached the college shortly after the college’s functions concluded on Thursday. The statement from the Syrian army suggests that the drone attack was executed with the assistance of international terrorist organizations.
The Syrian Defense Minister attended the graduation ceremony but departed from the college shortly before the attack occurred. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has strongly condemned the attack.
