French President Macron arrives in Israel to declare full solidarity

Tel Aviv: French President Emmanuel Macron visited Israel amid the conflict with Hamas terrorists and expressed full solidarity with Israel. Macron is scheduled to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to convey France’s complete support for Israel. His visit is primarily motivated by diplomatic efforts to secure the release of over 200 individuals held captive by Hamas in Gaza.

In addition to Netanyahu, Macron will engage in discussions with Israeli President Isaac Herzog and opposition leaders  Benny Gantz and Yair Lapid. Tragically, 30 French citizens lost their lives in a terrorist attack carried out by Hamas in Israel. Macron will meet with the families of the victims and those held hostage by Hamas. Regrettably, seven French nationals remain unaccounted for. Macron emphasized that 30 individuals were intentionally targeted by Hamas because they were Jewish, and his visit to Jerusalem is intended to show solidarity with the affected families.

As Israel prepares for a possible ground war, Macron’s representatives stated that Israel will be urged to take measures to ensure the safety of the civilian population in Gaza.
