Tel Aviv: More information regarding Iran’s support for the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas has come to light. Prior to the attack on October 7, it was reported that Iran had trained approximately 500 individuals for Islamic Jihad and Hamas in Palestine. The Wall Street Journal has reported that Hamas terrorists received specialized training in Iran just last month. This information is based on reports from intelligence sources.
Israel has previously accused Iran of supporting Hamas in carrying out ongoing attacks against Israel. However, Tehran has consistently denied any connection with Hamas. It has been revealed that Iran’s military wing, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, provided specific training to Hamas terrorists for land, air, and sea-based attacks against Israel. This training has been ongoing since August.
Meanwhile, Israel has initiated a ground offensive against Hamas. The Israel Defense Forces released footage of military tanks entering northern Gaza. The IDF has stated that their troops entered northern Gaza to destroy terrorist bunkers and missile launch sites.
