Washington: A pregnant Malayali woman was shot by her husband in Chicago. The victim, identified as Meera (32), daughter of Abraham-Lali couple, natives of Uzhavoor, was seriously injured and was admitted to the hospital. According to the relatives, Meera was shot by her husband because of family problems.
Meera’s husband, Amal Reji, an Ettumanoor native, has been arrested by the US police. As per the information received from Chicago, Meera’s condition is reported to be critical, with ongoing efforts to control the bleeding in her abdomen.
