Luanda: Vidhu P. Nair, a Malayali official and current ambassador of Bharat to Turkmenistan, has been designated as the next ambassador of Bharat to Angola, as confirmed by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Thursday. Dr. Vidhu P. Nair, belonging to the Indian Foreign Service Batch of 2002, has also served as the Director of the Ministry of External Affairs.
In a statement, the Ministry of External Affairs announced, “Dr. Vidhu P. Nair (IFS:2002), presently Ambassador of India to Turkmenistan, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Angola.” The MEA further stated that he is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
