Los Angeles: Director Christopher Nolan’s biopic film ‘Oppenheimer’ emerged as the star of the Oscars 2024, securing a remarkable seven wins, including awards like Best Director, Best Film, and Best Leading Actor.
The film clinched a total of seven awards throughout the night. Christopher Nolan was honoured with the Best Director award, while Cillian Murphy’s portrayal in ‘Oppenheimer’ earned him the Best Leading Actor accolade. Additionally, Robert Downey Jr. secured the Best Supporting Actor award for his role in the film. ‘Oppenheimer’ also triumphed in technical categories, winning awards for Best Cinematography, Best Original Score, and Best Film Editing.
Another notable film of the night was “Poor Things,” which got four Oscars. Emma Stone was recognised as the Best Actress for her role in “Poor Things.” The film also earned acclaim in crafts categories, winning awards for Best Costume Design, Production Design, and Makeup and Hairstyling.
