Abu Dhabi: The venue is set for the consecration ceremony of the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi, a momentous occasion ahead of its official inauguration later today by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Priests are performing rituals, setting the stage for the grand event scheduled for Wednesday evening.
Prime Minister Modi, currently on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates from February 13–14, will be presiding over the inauguration ceremony. Upon his arrival at the airport, PM Modi received a warm welcome from UAE President Al Nahyan. The exchange of greetings, marked by handshakes and embraces, underscored the strong bond between Bharat and the UAE.
Extending gratitude for the visionary support of UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan towards the BAPS Hindu Mandir, Prime Minister Modi hailed the temple as a testament to the enduring bond between Bharat and the UAE. The temple stands as a manifestation of cultural harmony and mutual respect, reflecting the shared values of both nations.
The BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi stands as a marvel of modern architecture and technological innovation, boasting advanced features such as 300 sensors, elevating its stature to that of a scientific marvel. Even before its official inauguration, the temple has garnered global attention, attracting contributions from over 60,000 individuals representing diverse backgrounds and cultures.
This consecration ceremony has also gathered international attention, as evidenced by the recent visit of ambassadors from 40 nations to celebrate the event. The leader of international relations for the BAPS, Swaminarayan Sanstha, highlighted the temple’s pivotal role as a unifying force.
