New Delhi: Rohan Jaitley, President of the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA), has warned that action may be taken if fans mistreat Hardik Pandya during Mumbai Indians match against the Delhi Capitals.
The recently appointed captain of the Mumbai Indians (MI) Hardik Pandya, has encountered hostility from fans at all venues where his team has played thus far.
Hardik Pandya has been met with boos from Mumbai fans both at home and away matches. This led commentator Sanjay Manjrekar to intervene and urge the booing fans to show restraint during the toss in the match between the Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals (RR).
Hardik Pandya’s tenure as captain of the Mumbai Indians has commenced with a disappointing start. The team has faced defeat in their first three matches under his leadership, leaving them at the bottom of the points table. Mumbai Indians have suffered losses against Gujarat Titans (GT), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the ongoing season of the IPL.
The five-time IPL champions will aim to secure their first victory in the tournament as they face off against the Delhi Capitals next. The match is set to be played on Sunday, April 7th.
