New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took to Twitter on Tuesday to share an aerial view of the “world’s largest cricket stadium”.
The Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad has a seating capacity of more than 1,10,000. The Melbourne Cricket Ground is currently the biggest cricket facility in the world with a seating capacity of 90,000.

US President Donald Trump will inaugurate the stadium on Monday when he arrives in the city for a two-day state visit.
The stadium was first constructed in 1982 with a seating capacity of 49,000 and now the refurbished stadium will be called Sardar Patel Stadium.
