Ahmedabad: The final match of TATA IPL 2023 on Sunday was moved to the reserve day due to the non-stop rain in Ahemadabad. It’s the first time in IPL history that the finals had been postponed.
Heavy rain delayed the toss and following start of the match between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. In due cause, an announcement was made at 10:55 IST in the scroll on the screen in the ground that the final match for the IPL trophy between the defending champions Gujarat Titans(GT) and four time champions Chennai Super Kings(CSK) will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Monday evening 7:30 pm.
According to the weather prediction for today, there might be a thunderstorm around 5 pm IST, but there is no forecast for rain during match hours. In case if there is no possibility for the match in the reserve day also, the team which finished with highest point on the point table in the end of the league match will be announced as the winner of the season.
The physical tickets of yesterday will be valid for today also, and the officials request the fans to keep their tickets safe.
