Tri-Party meeting assesses security arrangements for MotoGP Bharat at Buddh International Circuit

Uttar Pradesh: Greater Noida was abuzz with preparations for the upcoming MotoGP Bharat event, scheduled to take place at the iconic Buddh International Circuit from September 22 to September 24, 2023. A crucial tri-party meeting was held on Monday, bringing together key stakeholders to assess and strengthen the security arrangements for the prestigious event.

The meeting saw the active participation of the Gautam Buddha Nagar police administration, officials from MotoGP Bharat, and representatives from Jaypee Group, including S M Azmat, Brigadier Sudhir Lanba, and Major Nishant Srivastava. The focus of the meeting revolved around various aspects crucial to ensuring the safety and smooth conduct of the MotoGP Bharat event.

Pushkar Nath Srivastava, the Chief Operating Officer of Fairstreet Sports, the Indian counterpart of MotoGP, expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the meeting. He stated, “It was a fruitful meeting. The local police understand the importance of MotoGP Bharat to India and have promised full cooperation in every way possible. After the meeting, the focus has been to amplify the smooth organisation and logistics of the event.”

During the meeting, a comprehensive review of the race’s security arrangements and traffic plan took place. The attendees emphasised the importance of meticulous planning to create a secure environment for participants and spectators alike. Discussions also centred around the feasibility of helipad access for VIP movements and the efficient handling of VIP arrivals with utmost priority.

To ensure a seamless experience for the audience, the team conducted a thorough inspection of the Buddh International Circuit. They evaluated the traffic management plans and gained insights into effective spectator management. The aim was to create a comfortable and enjoyable environment for the thousands of MotoGP enthusiasts expected to attend the event.

Following the productive discussions, the Joint CP instructed the concerned authorities to develop a detailed plan encompassing the discussed points. This plan will be submitted to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Greater Noida for further review within the next 10 days. This meticulous approach highlights the commitment of all stakeholders to prioritise safety and enhance the overall experience of the MotoGP Bharat event.

The MotoGP Bharat event at the Buddh International Circuit holds immense significance for the motorsports community in India. It provides a platform for both national and international riders to showcase their skills and compete in a thrilling and highly competitive environment. The event not only attracts motorsport enthusiasts but also serves as a catalyst for the growth and development of motorsports in the country.
