The centrepiece of this transformation at Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium is the state-of-the-art Poligras Paris GT zero hockey turf, meticulously designed to enhance player performance and ensure a world-class sporting experience. What sets this turf apart is its eco-friendly composition, as it is made with 80% sugarcane and manufactured using green energy. One of the notable advantages of the Hockey Zero turf is its minimal water requirements, contributing to conservation efforts and sustainable resource management. By utilising cutting-edge technology, the turf has been engineered to prevent water wastage, making it a significant stride towards creating a more environmentally responsible sporting infrastructure.
The Poligras Paris GT zero hockey turf has already proven its mettle at prestigious events like the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023, held in Bhubhanewar-Rourkela.
