Ahmedabad: India The city of Ahmedabad was alive with the roar of engines and the spirit of biking enthusiasts as Moto GP Bharat’s multi-city tour arrived at the iconic Indian Institute of Management (IIM) campus on Sunday. Nearly 500 bikers gathered to celebrate their passion for biking and welcome the City Tour of Moto GP, which is set to make its debut in India from September 22–24 this year.
The event saw bikers cruising through various points in the city, marking the momentous occasion of the bike ride. Inside the IIM campus, the atmosphere was electrifying as the popular IIM band performed and expert bikers showcased gravity-defying manoeuvers, enthralling the packed campus crowd.
“We were thrilled to bring MotoGP Bharat’s multi-city tour to Ahmedabad. This city has witnessed several iconic sports events in the past, and we are really excited to be at the IIM Campus, which is always a hub for a passionate and thriving sporting community,” said Sushant Srivastava, Managing Director and Head of City Tours, FairStreet Sport, the Indian promoters of MotoGP.
As part of the city tour, the event featured the Fresh Face and Motofluencer contests, giving lucky contest winners the opportunity to watch the Indian edition of the race LIVE at the Buddh International Circuit in the host state of Uttar Pradesh.
The event promoted MotoGP Bharat’s race philosophy of “Roads are for riding” and “Tracks are for racing,” encouraging young and aspirational riders to become aware of this global IP. It also aimed to foster camaraderie among the biking community in Ahmedabad and across the state.
MotoGP Bharat’s commitment to celebrating and promoting female riders from all over the country also resonated with the women who participated in the event.
The spectators were fully engaged in the Fresh Face and Motofluencer contests, vying for the opportunity to be contest winners and experience the thrill of the upcoming Moto GP race.
