Kerala team successfully clinched a place in the final round of the prestigious Santosh Trophy National Football Championship . The seven-time champions, Kerala, secured their path to the final round by finishing second in Group A.
The qualifying list for the final round includes a stellar lineup of teams, with Goa, Delhi, Manipur, Assam, Services (the Indian Armed Forces team), and Maharashtra emerging as group toppers. Mizoram, Kerala, and Indian Railways also earned their place as the best second-placed teams.
With the competition heating up, the final round of the Santosh Trophy will see a total of 12 teams . Among them are defending champions Karnataka, runners-up Meghalaya, and hosts Arunachal Pradesh, who will join the nine qualifying teams in the upcoming contest set to take place in Itanagar.
The 12 teams will be divided into two groups, each consisting of six teams. The top two from each group will advance to the semifinals.
