Shenzhen: Kerala’s badminton star, HS Prannoy, has secured a spot in the quarterfinals of the China Masters tournament. In the men’s singles category, Prannoy emerged victorious against Denmark’s Magnus Johannesen, clinching a straight-set win with scores of 21-12, 21-18.

Despite Johannesen’s attempts to a comeback in the second game, Prannoy’s expertise prevailed over his opponent’s fighting spirit in the last 40 minutes of the match, and Prannoy is now set to face the winner of the Antonsen vs. Naraoka clash in the upcoming quarterfinals.

The Keralite shuttler’s impressive performance at the China Masters tournament reflects his determination and prowess in the men’s singles category, earning him a well-deserved spot in the quarterfinal stage. Badminton enthusiasts eagerly await Prannoy’s next match as he continues to represent Bharat on the international stage.
