Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed a list of players under suspicion for their bowling actions, with seven individuals, including two Keralite players, being named in the list. Among them is Chetan Sakariya, a 25-year-old pacer who made his debut for Bharat and has played for Rajasthan and Delhi in the IPL.
As of now, the players listed have not faced any bans, but their bowling abilities may be restricted if suspicions are substantiated. The information was disclosed by Cricbuzz.
Sakariya, with a base price of Rs. 50 lakhs in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has participated in 19 IPL matches and has additionally appeared in one ODI and two T20Is for Bharat. Officials from the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) and individuals close to the player have conveyed ignorance regarding his inclusion in the suspect list.
The Kerala players included in the lineup are Rohan Kunnummal, of the Kerala Cricket Association, and Salman Nizar. The other names on the list are Chirag Gandhi of the Gujarat Cricket Association, Saurabh Dubey of the Vidarbha Cricket Association, and Arpit Guleria of the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association. Guleria has taken eight-wicket against Gujarat in the Vijay Hazare Trophy .
