Dubai: The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have made strategic moves to enhance their squad by adding promising players to their lineup. The team recently secured New Zealand player Daryl Mitchell for 14 crore, who entered the fray with a base price of Rs. 1 crore.
The bidding war for Mitchell initially involved the Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings, but it was the Chennai Super Kings that emerged victorious, finalising the deal for the talented player. Additionally, CSK added Indian-origin player Rachin Ravindra, who is also a Kiwi player, to their roster with a winning bid of 1.80 crore.
A significant move for the Chennai Super Kings was the return of peace bowler Shardul Thakur, a notable Indian star, who was brought back into the squad from the Kolkata Night Riders (KKR) for a sum of Rs 4 crore. The inclusion of these players showcases CSK’s commitment to strengthening their team for the upcoming IPL season.
