Paarl: In today’s third ODI against South Africa, all eyes are on Keralite player Sanju Samson, whose performance will be crucial for Bharat. He missed the chance to bat in the first match and facing criticism for a lacklustre showing in the second, where he scored only 12 runs from 23 balls.

Former players have not hesitated to express their concerns, pointing out errors in the right-handed batsman’s approach, especially after his dismissal due to a careless shot in the second match. As Bharat gears up for the final match, Sanju is expected to secure a spot in the playing eleven, and changes in the batting order are anticipated.

Rajat Patidar might make way for Tilak Verma, who faced challenges in both previous matches. In this scenario, team management is reportedly considering placing Sanju at number three, a strategic move to optimise his batting prowess.
