Benoni: South Africa is gearing up to host the final match of the U-19 Cricket World Cup 2024, set to take place today at Willowmoore Park in Benoni. Analysing the pitch, reports suggest that Willowmoore Park, known for its balanced pitch favouring both batsmen and bowlers, has hosted 27 ODIs with an average first-inning score of 233 runs. Despite this, teams batting first have only managed to secure victory in the last seven matches.
The highly anticipated match will see five-time champions Bharat facing off against former champions Australia. In the under-19 World Cup 2024, Bharat and Australia have clashed twice, with Bharat emerging victorious in both matches.
Bharat enters the final with an excellent batting lineup, which includes skipper Uday Saharan, Musheer Khan, and Sachin Das. Having batted in five out of six matches in the tournament thus far, Bharat has consistently scored over 250 runs in the first inning.
