Thiruvananthapuram: Rohan Prem, the all-rounder cricket player with the most appearances for Kerala team in the Ranji Trophy, has declared his retirement from the sport. Rohan has made it clear that he will no longer represent Kerala. Despite announcing his retirement, he has stated that he may continue to play domestic cricket. The seasoned player has also expressed his willingness to play for other states if given the chance. He is a middle-order batsman and off-spin bowler who bats left-handed.

Rohan made his senior Kerala cricket debut in January 2005 with a one-day match against Andhra, followed by his Ranji debut against Rajasthan in December of the same year.  Rohan has scored over 8000 runs, with nearly 5500 runs accrued from first-class matches alone in his professional career. His highest individual score representing the state stands at 208.

Rohan has played with Rohit Sharma in the Indian Under-19 team. He holds records such as the most runs scored by a Kerala player in the Ranji Trophy, the player with most centuries , and being the first player to achieve the milestone of 1000 runs for Kerala in the Under-20 format.

Rohan has also etched his name in Kerala cricket history by becoming the first batsman to score 1000 runs in Twenty20 cricket matches. Throughout his career, he has scored up to 5,476 runs and claimed 53 wickets in 101 matches. Furthermore, Rohan has represented Kerala in 63 List A matches and 57 Twenty20 matches.
