New Delhi: Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been selected as the captain of the all-time greatest Indian Premier League (IPL) team.
The selection committee, comprising former cricketing stalwarts such as Wasim Akram, Matthew Hayden, Tom Moody, and Dale Steyn and around 70 journalists, formed the all time best squad.
According to reports, Australia’s David Warner and Bharat’s prolific batsman Virat Kohli were designated as the team’s openers, with the legendary ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle securing the coveted number three spot in the batting lineup.
The formidable middle order features the likes of Suresh Raina, AB de Villiers, Suryakumar Yadav, and the skipper himself, MS Dhoni. The squad is further bolstered by the presence of dynamic all-rounders Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kieron Pollard.
The bowling boasts the talents of spin maestros Rashid Khan, Sunil Narine, and Yuzvendra Chahal. Meanwhile, the pace is led by Lasith Malinga and Jasprit Bumrah, offering a formidable challenge to any opposition.
