Thiruvananthapuram: According to reports, Bharat’s all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, may sit out the second Test against England in Visakhapatnam due to a hamstring injury sustained during the fourth day of the first Test in Hyderabad. The scan results have raised doubts about Jadeja’s availability for the upcoming Test match.
Ravindra Jadeja, who seemed uncomfortable and in pain after being run out by Ben Stokes on Sunday, is now awaiting the results of his scan report in Hyderabad. The reports have been sent to Mumbai for assessment, and a professional medical opinion is expected today. There’s a possibility that he might miss the upcoming Test starting on February 2. Despite a lack of conclusive information so far, Jadeja’s initial reaction to the injury and assessments haven’t been positive.
Coach Rahul Dravid has expressed a lack of information on Jadeja’s fitness. “I honestly haven’t had a chance to speak to the physio as yet. Once I get back, I’ll speak to him and see what it is about,” said Dravid.
