Mumbai: The eagerly anticipated 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to begin on March 22, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) releasing the match schedule from March 22 to April seventh.
A total of 21 matches will be played across 10 cities during this period. In the opening match on March 22 at 6:30 p.m., defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will lock horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at M. A. Chidambaram. This match will witness a thrilling showdown between former Indian captains Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli.
The Rajasthan Royals, led by Keralite sensation Sanju Samson, will step onto the field in Jaipur on March 24. They will face off against the Lucknow Super Giants in two matches scheduled at 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m..
