Ranchi: Yashasvi Jaiswal continues to shine on the international stage, showcasing remarkable form in the ongoing Test series against England. Jaiswal has etched his name into the record books as he scored a total of 971 runs in just seven Test matches.
With this remarkable achievement, Yashasvi Jaiswal becomes only the second player in cricket history to score the most runs in his first eight Test matches, just behind the legendary Don Bradman, who holds the top spot with 1210 runs.
Impressively, Jaiswal has notched up three centuries at an impressive average of 69.35 across 15 innings, solidifying his reputation as a formidable batsman on the international stage. Meanwhile, Jaiswal has equaled the record set by Indian cricket icon Virat Kohli, having scored the same number of runs against England in a calendar year. While Virat scored 655 runs in 2016-17, Jaiswal scored the same number of runs in 2023-24. Rahul Dravid scored 602 runs in 2002.
